Why DirtRacer connects to Strava

DirtRacer uses Strava only to calculate event results for riders who choose to join a specific DirtRacer event.

What data DirtRacer uses

When you connect Strava to join an event, DirtRacer may use:

• Rider name and profile details returned by Strava
• Activity and segment effort data needed to match the event stages
• Segment effort times within the event window
• Token access required to refresh and sync event results

What appears publicly

Public results may show your rider name, category, stage times, total time, rank, event status, and leaderboard position.

What DirtRacer does not do

• Does not scrape public Strava data
• Does not access riders who have not connected Strava
• Does not use Strava data for AI training or machine learning
• Does not sell Strava data
• Does not use Strava data for unrelated marketing
• Does not display full private activity details beyond what is needed for event timing

How event timing works

1. The club creates an event and selects Strava segments as stages.
2. The rider joins the event and connects Strava.
3. The rider completes the listed stages during the event window.
4. DirtRacer reads the relevant segment efforts.
5. Results are calculated and shown on the event leaderboard.

Disconnecting Strava

Riders can disconnect DirtRacer from their Strava account through their Strava account settings.
